Some of James' work

Hunter style.jpg

HUNTER STYLE

A handmade hunter job for a Field Master's horse. The sloping pencilled heels minimise the risk of premature shoe loss. The copper nails help to maintain a strong and healthy white line / hoof wall.

LAMANITIC

A set of heart bar shoes, fitted specially for a client's lamanitic horse.

Rolled toe.jpg

EQUILIBRIUM TOE (ROLLED TOE) HAND FORGED SHOE

James used this remedial shoe on a riding school horse with navicular changes and a broken back hoof pastern axis. Made out of flat material offering more surface area as most of the horse's work is done on an arena. The egg bar will help support the structures in the caudal 1/3 of the hoof capsule.

VULCAN BAR SHOES

James used these shoes on a well established event horse aiming to stabilise the caudal area of the hoof capsule.

STRAIGHT BAR SHOES

James made this straight bar shoe for a weak footed equine and combined it with equi-pak filler to help offer protection to the sole.
